Update to the Mailserver post

I updated the post about my Mailserver setup today. I eliminated an extra pass of the mail through postfix after spam filtering. Dspam now directly delivers the mail to dovecot for filtering and putting it in the users mailbox.

I also adapted the changes for dspam to run as user vmail to systemd, since that is the default in arch for quite some time now.

My Mailserver Setup: Postfix + Dspam + Dovecot

In the following post I will describe how I set up the mailserver serving this domain. It is meant more or less as a reminder for myself if I ever have to set it up again. But since I think it might be a help for others searching for a (relatively) simple setup with virtual users but without the overhead of an SQL-Database that most howtos use I will put my configs and a little description here.

Collecting Mails from Different Accounts

Maybe like me you have various mail-accounts with different providers. wouldn't it be convenient to have all of them collected in one place and accessible through one account from all your devices (Home, Work, Laptop, Mobile phone…)? Here's how I achived this using a combination of fetchmail/procmail for fetching and sorting mail and dovecot to make them accessible via imaps (Note: I don't run my own smtp-server but use the providers servers for this):
